The sirens of the Cape Canaveral No Motor Zone beckons you, not with song but with the promise of huge tailing fish in shallow water. Fly anglers are able to pursue game fish like redfish, sea trout, tarpon, snook, and black drum. This 10,600 acre open water area is one of the few places in Florida free from motor boats and has become a popular destination for light tackle and fly fishing anglers visting the Central Florida area.

The shoreline on the north, east, and west side of the Banana River Lagoon are within the “Security Area” of the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

During your fishing adventure along the pristine Banana River Lagoon your fishing guide Captain Bob Jaspers will share expert knowledge with you for the day to ensure all clients from beginners to expert anglers get one-on-one instruction. The No Motor Zone offers trophy fish all year long, but it's preferd for winter months for two reasons. First, there are more black drum on the flats in the winter. Second, when the water is hot, the fish are active only for a short period during early morning, whereas during the winter months, fishing often improves as the shallows warm throughout the day.

For a personal, quiet, back-to-nature trip book a charter in a custom built flats canoe. It’s stealthy, slow-paced, and has an extremely shallow draft. Because it’s so quiet with minimum bow or hull-slap we can get very close to the fish. It’s really a sight fishing angler's dream, and many big fish have been caught on fly. All canoe trips are one-person, shallow saltwater Old-Florida style sight fishing trips. You can fish or just sit back and watch or photograph birds & wildlife while being poled in the canoe.

Canoe trips inside the No Motor Zone are one guide and one angler per canoe.
